From Act 1. and Act 2.
"The Ballad Of Maewyn Succat" is the musicals theme song. Maewyn Succat was Saint Patrick's pagan name before becoming a priest.

The show begins with an instrumeltal version of the song (Flute, Bodhrán and Irish Harp, Acoustic Guitar) and ends with the full ensemble version you can listen to here.

From Act 1.
Directly following the opening narration, the story begins with Patrick on his deathbed recalling the events written in his "Confessio". At his side his beloved Brigit of Kildare. It is here that Patrick confesses his love for her and his with for them in the future.

From Act 2.
A prayer prior to confronting the Druids at Tara, "Faeth Fiadha" is the Irish name for the Deer's Cry. It is based on the legend that Patrick and his companions were miraculously turned into deer to be able to pass unnoticed by the king's guards sent out to prevent them from reaching the assembly at Tara.

From Act 2.
Having defeated the Arch-Druid Lochru at Tara and with permission of the Ard-Righ, Patrick now preaches the Gospel in Ireland for the first time openly. John 10,9....I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shal be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture.
